Kanyemba Lodge is located in the Chiawa GMA (Game Management Area), 45 km west of the Lower Zambezi National Park and a couple of kilometres down river from the confluence of the Kafue and the Zambezi Rivers.

The Lodge blends natural materials with modern comforts; lush green lawns and stone walkways surround each chalet, which blend perfectly with their surroundings, providing extreme comfort in the warmer months and a very high level of privacy throughout your stay. Each chalet has its own private veranda overlooking the Zambezi River, where early morning teas and espresso coffees or cappuccinos are delivered at the time of your requested wake up call. The chalets also include walk in wardrobes with shelving, hanging rails, and room for storage.

Overlooking the river the restaurant and bar allow spacious dinning while upstairs, guests can relax and enjoy the extensive library with a view. Each evening guests are treated to Kanyemba Lodge’s famous cuisine under the branches of a giant wild Mango Tree. There is a swimming pool with built-in benches that allow a retreat from the hotter hours of the day, whilst watching the elephants at the opposite bank.

Activities include angling, canoe safaris, boating, sunset cruise, walking safaris and a village walk. In a 3 night stay 1 daytrip game drive in the Lower Zambezi National park is also included, this is dependent on the condition of the roads, and not on offer in the period Nov to March due to the rains.

Airport transfer time: 20 minutes from Masstock Airstrip/ 3 hour 30 minute boat transfer and 20 minute road transfer from Royal Airstrip
