Nsefu Bush Camp was the first photographic safari camp in Zambia and dates back to the early fifties. The camp is situated in the heart of the undeveloped Nsefu Sector of South Luangwa national park on a sweeping bend of the Luangwa River. The area around the camp has long been recognised for its phenomenal wildlife and the camp itself offers charm and comfort in total remoteness and seclusion.
The view of the river is superb and includes a terraced area where game grazes during the day. The bar, tucked in beside a huge extinct termite mound, overlooks a waterhole that is very productive for game.
The six en-suite rondavels host a maximum of 12 guests and each room has a clear view of the river from the comfort of bed or from the wooden verandas.
Activities include walking through untouched wilderness, game drives and night drives using a spot light as well as seasonal boating and village tours.

The camp welcomes just twelve guests in six original brick and thatch rondavels with en-suite facilities, each room opening up to what can simply be described as the best view in the South Luangwa.
The six original rondavels have been upgraded to include spacious en-suite bathrooms however we have tried very hard to keep the feel and fittings in the room in line with the original “old fashioned” feel. Nothing can sum it up better than a guest’s comment of “understated elegance”. Each room has a clear view of the river whether it be from the comfort of your bed or the chairs out on the verandah.
