Luangwa River Camp lies on the banks of the Luangwa River forming the border of the world renowned South Luangwa National Park in Zambia and marks the end of the Great Rift Valley, covering an area of over 9,000 sq. Km.
The camp has 5 brick and thatch Bush Suites individually named and all feature unique decorative themes. The rooms each have hot and cold running water, twin sinks, shower, and sunken baths, overhead fans in the bedroom and bathroom, walk in mosquito nets as well as a sealed mosquito proof room. All guest rooms have private decks with covered Bomas affording great views over the river and park. Both the bedroom and bathroom have large folding doors leading to the outside deck. The main area of the camp is elevated between 1-3 metres on wooden decks that guests can enjoy the view from. The camp has 2 swimming pools, a bar area as well as a dining and reading area.
The ox bow lagoons, Miombo woodland and plains of the Luangwa Valley host vast concentrations of game including elephant, buffalo, leopard, lion, giraffe, hippo, wild dog and the puku, endemic to the region. The area also boasts over 400 species of birds. Guest can take partake in game drives, walking and boating safaris.

The subtly decorated bush suites with brick walls and thatch roof each have ensuite bathrooms with sunken bathtubs looking out onto your own private corner of Africa. Both the bedroom and bathroom are afronted with large sliding doors leading onto a decked area allowing a lovely breeze into the room and great views onto the river.
