Participation:
This is a No Participation Safari, requiring no participation from the guests. The setup and camp chores are carried out by our team of professional guide and camp staff.
Accommodation:
At San Camp: accommodation is in large, classy Meru tents boasting four poster beds with elegant linen and Moroccan kilims.
At the Lost Island of Baobabs Fly Camp: the camp near Kubu Island, is an entirely outdoor sleep out on very comfortable bedrolls under our brilliant southern night skies (weather permitting).
Ablutions:
At San Camp: all bathrooms are ensuite with running water showers, flush loos and charming copper water jugs and basins.
At the Lost Island of Baobabs Fly Camp:
Ablutions are shared. There is a separate shower cubicle and toilet cubicle with bush toilet (long drop*). Both are enclosed by canvas for privacy.
Transportation:
At San Camp: Transport is customised 4x4 safari vehicles.
At the Lost Island of Baobabs Fly Camp:
Transport is by Quad Bike. The expedition entails travelling through the vast salt pan terrain from San Camp on quad bikes, which are open and windy, to the fly camp
