John Chase Safaris is a luxury mobile safari operation offering guided tours of Botswana’s top destinations on a mobile camping basis. Spacious Meru-style tented accommodation with en suite bush bathrooms and bucket showers are complete with twin beds, floor rugs, canvas cupboard space, and shaded canvas verandahs. All camping duties, from camp construction, to cooking, to drinks service is taken care of, leaving guests with only the responsibility to relax in these private campsites selected for their remoteness and their locations in some of the best wildlife regions in the country. A minimum of 4, and a maximum of 12 people are accommodated in utmost comfort and style while experiencing the excitement of camping in the wild. No electricity in camp, but an inverter is available for charging of camera and mobile phone batteries. Both tailored itineraries, and set-departure trips are catered for, offering exclusivity and convenience for a variety of clientele.

All safari tents are of the same standard and include identical amenities. The Meru-style tents are 3m x 4m in interior space, canvas from ceiling to floor, with fly screen windows and doors, and drop down canvas cover flaps. For ultra comfort, the bedroom floors are laid down with soft carpets, while the en suite bathroom has a ground cover and mesh ceiling.
Each tent has 2 twin beds, 2 bedside tables, battery-powered bedside lights, hanging canvas shelves and hanging space, and complete quality bed linen. Plenty of towels and extra blankets are provided, as are bathroom cosmetics, water bottles, and special gift packs.
The en suite bush bathrooms have bucket showers, which hold 25 litres of water (warmed up for hot showers). There are chemical toilets available upon request, but generally ‘pit latrines’ are dug inside the bathrooms and covered with a portable toilet.
