Bordering the western side of the Chobe National Park, Muchenje Campsites is located close to the Ngoma Entrance of the park, 50 minutes drive from Kasane and 2 hours drive from Victoria Falls. Set amongst beautiful trees, the secure, tranquil property is well positioned as a stopover for travellers visiting the Chobe National Park, Linyanti and Savuti regions as well as the Caprivi area of Namibia.
Ten large, shady campsites have power points, running water and a barbeque stand. Four separate abultion units offer basin, toilet and solar powered hot water showers. Shared washing up facilities and laundry areas are also available.
The communal area of the campsites features a swimming pool, sundowner terrace, thatched bush chapel and a small shop where very basic supplies such as firewood, ice, seasonal vegetables and meat can be purchased. A laundry service is available at additional cost.
Activities that may be arranged at additional cost include game drives in the Chobe National Park, night drives outside of the park and day trips to Victoria Falls.
Chobe / Ngoma Gate
This property is located near the Ngoma Gate for entry to the Chobe Riverfront. Very few campsites and lodges are located on this end of the park and few people utilize this entry point, creating a more remote and exclusive experience than at the properties around Kasane. Although outside the park, this option is located in a bush setting where wildlife and birding are plentiful.

With a double bed, fully equipped kitchenette, outside seating area, toilet & outside shower.
Secluded, private campsites each with waterpoint and braai. Access to communal ablutions each with shower and toilet.
Equipped self-catering safari tents. With bedroom, outside kitchen and small viewing deck. There is no en-suite bathroom. Clients use the communal ablutions 50m away.
Tent #1 has a double bed, Tents #2 & #3 both have a twin bed configuration.
