Zambia is often referred to as the real Zambia. The Kafue National park is therefore best described as the real Zambia. It is a relatively niche type of experience.

Being only the third best known safari area in this backwater of a country ensures that Kafue is well off the radar of most safari travellers. For those of you seeking to explore Africa off the beaten track, the vast Kafue National Park is refreshingly different. The safari experience here really can be first rate, with lovely small camps, some wonderful scenery and intense wildlife. Unlike other parks, the sense of discovery rather than predictability lends to the excitement.

Lying in the centre of the western half of Zambia, the majority of the park is over 1000 meters above sea-level. What at first glance may seem like miles and miles of endless bush actually contains some of the most exquisite, diverse and beautiful flora and fauna on the planet. A tapestry of woodlands, pockets of riparian forest, open grass plains and dramatic hills of granite rock.

The Kafue National Park offers a wide variety of activities from, game drives, excellent walking safaris, canoe trails, boat cruises, fishing and wonderful relaxation. All in all an unforgettable safari experience.
