Situated approximately 48 km from Bulawayo along the Matopos road, Farmhouse Lodge Matopos, often called Farmhouse Lodge or Farmhouse Matopos is beautifully perched on the edge of a dramatic granite outcrop within the Granite Ridge Wildlife Reserve bordering Matobo (Matopos) National Park. The site seamlessly blends historic charm with stunning natural scenery.
Each individual cottage has a twin bedded bedroom, en-suite shower, toilet and wash-hand basin, open plan lounge with tea/coffee facilities and fridge. The original homestead has been thoughtfully converted into the lodge's central hub housing the restaurant, bar, reception, and a veranda that overlooks an indigenous garden and a rock‑swimming pool.
Guests can enjoy hearty, home-cooked meals in the restaurant or a traditional braai dinner under the stars in the enclosed boma. A conference venue is also available, making the lodge an ideal setting for small meetings, workshops, or retreats. For those seeking a closer connection to nature, the Worlds View Campsite offers panoramic views, rustic facilities, and a starlit bush atmosphere. Whether it’s exploring ancient cave paintings, game drives and rhino walks in the Matobo National Park, mountain biking, or simply relaxing by the pool, Farmhouse Lodge Matopos offers a blend of rustic charm, comfort, and unforgettable experiences.

Each of our 12 Dutch style cottages are nestled beneath a granite kopjie. They are either double or twin, with the option of a third bed in 9 of the rooms. We have a baby cot that can be put in the rooms if the family requires it.
They have their own private seating area, mini fridge, tea/coffee station and each is fitted with it’s own ensuite bathroom.
At the back of the cottage there is a small barbeque area should it be required.
At the main lodge area there is a central social area with a cozy bar and dining room with a small library, a swimming pool and a neatly kept garden to enjoy.
Looking for a campsite in Matopos with spectacular views? Then Worlds View campsite is the place to stay. Situated high in the hills of Granite Ridge Wildlife Reserve, is a campsite for those who wish to enjoy the splendor of the Matopos scenery.
The Campsite includes a large dining/entertainment area. Ablution block with hot showers, toilets and wash-hand basins. Open campfire, braai area found in the campsite area. All facilities overlook the incredible vista of the Matopos National Park. There is currently no electrical power available.
The breathtaking views make this Matopos campsite a special place, but there is also the chance to see wildlife visit the waterhole below or hear the elusive Leopard call at night. There is plenty of birdlife and occasionally a pair of Black eagles can be seen hunting in the thermals above the rugged granite terrain.
Campers have the opportunity to take part in the many wild activities offered on the property or explore the National park on one of the tours available. The Worlds View campsite is currently reserved for group bookings. Individual camping is on request and should be pre-booked.
