Frog & Fern Cottages are set in the village once known as Melsetter at the foot of the Chimanimani Mountains and share a common boundary with the Eland Sanctuary. This location in the Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe is perfect for walking locally and hiking.

Frog & Fern provides quality self catering or bed & breakfast accommodation in 3 stone, thatch and wood cottages housing a maximum of twelve people at any one time. The Miombi Cottage, Msasa Cottage and Mzanje Cabin are each fully equipped. The well equipped kitchen has both gas and electric cookers and an outside stone braai in the garden. Firewood is supplied for your braai and for the fireplace inside the cottage. A continental breakfast pack is supplied for self service in your cottage if staying on the bed & breakfast basis.

This is a mountain hiking haven and there are unlimited lovely walks right from your cottage door to the nearby Bridal Veil Falls, Eland Sanctuary and hiking up the Chimanimani Mountains. Guests have the option of driving too, but a 4x4 will be necessary.

Guests arriving after 18h00 MUST call ahead to make sure the gate is unlocked.
