Hornbill Lodge is a small intimate lodge, situated on Mica Point, with a panoramic view of Lake Kariba.
Hornbill Lodge offers comfortable accommodation for up to 12 people. The main lodge has an upstairs double room with an en-suite bathroom as well as four individual chalets (including one family chalet), separate from the main lodge. All the chalets have en-suite bathrooms, mosquito nets, ceiling fans and a mobile air conditioner to ensure a restful sleep.
The main lodge itself houses a central dining area, bar and relaxing lounge area. Enjoy the pool deck and cool off in the plunge pool on hot Kariba days. The deck creates the perfect setting for alfresco dining, enabling guests to soak up the beautiful panoramic views of Lake Kariba under the shade of Africa’s indigenous trees.
Activities offered at an additional cost (weather and time permitting) may include fishing for bream or the exhilarating catch of the tiger fish. Have a whole new experience of wildlife with a game-viewing trip by boat or take a short drive to the lake’s dam wall, which allows guests to experience the magnitude of the structure, completed in 1959.

Our Deluxe Rooms are our newest addition which are spacious and have spectacular views of Lake Kariba. Deluxe rooms have glass sliding doors to private patio, air conditioning and en suite bathrooms with walk in showers.
The standard triple room has a double bed and a twin bed, and is suitable for a small family. The room is situated at the bottom of the garden and offers en suit facilities and tranquil setting.
Our standard rooms have spectacular views of Lake Kariba and en suite bathroom facilities. Can be configured as 1 king bed or into 2 twin beds. These rooms are open with no doors in order to take in the breathtaking views of Lake Kariba, rooms are still private and have curtains which can be closed for additional privacy.
This room is situated with garden views, and has one double bed and one twin bed suitable for small families.
Our newest additions Hornbills Deluxe Rooms are spacious with spectacular views over Lake Kariba. These rooms have glass sliding doors onto a private patio. Rooms have air conditioning and en suite bathrooms with walk in showers, toilet and basin.
