Ilombe Island belongs to a chain of islands in the Mambova Rapids, below which lies the Caprivi Strip where Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana and Namibia meet.
Ilombe Island Lodge has 5 twin bedded tents with en-suite bathrooms. Each tent is raised on wooden decks with breathtaking views of the Zambezi River. Tents can be easily converted into one queen-size double or two singles.
Ilombe has a spacious dining area, lounge and wooden deck with a built in fire place and pool, that extends out to Zambezi River. Guests can enjoy the fully stocked bar and wicker sofas to relax on.
Activities at Ilombe are focused on fishing. Fishing equipment can be hired and basic tackle are for sale at the lodge. But keen birdwatchers will not be disappointed when guides take them on a tour of the island or on a river cruise.
Full and half day trips to Chobe National Park are offered as an extra activity and can be arranged at the lodge at an additional cost.
