Tucked within the vast NG26 concession (known as the Abu concession) in the southwestern stretch of the Okavango Delta, Singita Elela sits quietly among winding waterways, scattered islands, and open grasslands scheduled to open December 2026. Elela means ‘to flow’ in Setswana a concept that reflects more than just its name. The landscape here shifts with the seasons, sometimes dry and wide, other times lush and flooded.
Elela is made up of five one-bedroom camps for couples, two two-bedroom camps for families or friends, and one four-bedroom camp for those seeking full privacy. Each setup includes its own lounge, dining area, and kitchenette thoughtful spaces with just the right amount of room. Outside, there is a plunge pool and firepit, along with shaded decks for quiet afternoons or evening drinks. A private guide, host, and vehicle come standard, making each stay feel easy and personalized. The four-bedroom camp includes extras like a dedicated chef and its own fitness space, giving groups plenty of room to settle in.
Although each camp is self-contained, the experience is still deeply connected to the landscape and to the people sharing it. Mornings might start with a mokoro ride or a walk through the bush; afternoons could bring a boat trip or time spent by the pool. Guests often gather for dinner under the stars or enjoy a quiet moment by the fire. From wine tastings to stargazing and helicopter flights, the days here offer just the right balance of adventure and stillness. Open to guests of all ages, Singita Elela keeps things relaxed and lets the Delta do the talking.
Airstrip transfers: Approximately 15 minutes road transfer from Elela Airstrip to the main camp
Elela’s two-bedroom camps are connected to the
heart of the lodge, its central hub, via walkways, but
separate enough for the space to feel entirely your
own; a feeling that’s mirrored in their design. The
balance of private and communal, and indoor and
outdoor spaces means you can find quiet moments
or opportunities for connection, as the weather and
your needs shift.
Each bedroom is the same size and features
a closable screen for privacy, but there’s no
separation from the landscape – or each other. The
camp is enclosed and circular, with no clear front or
back, meaning you can walk between rooms easily,
and are surrounded by expansive views of the Delta
wherever you are.
A private kitchenette, dining area, and lounge,
along with a pool (heated in winter), fireplace, and
various seating pods, contribute to the sense of
comfort and personalisation. There is ample room
for wellness treatments and equipment, so you
can work out or wind down in the comfort of your
camp. Each camp comes with a private vehicle and
a host, who is there to help shape your stay.
Each camp at Elela comes with everything you
need to settle in: a kitchenette, dining area, and
lounge, spacious enough to accommodate wellness
treatments and workouts; a pool to cool down in
(heated in winter), a fire to warm up around, and
seating on the various outdoor decks and spaces,
so the landscape is always within reach.
The camps’ circular design means there’s no clear
front or back, and the expansiveness of the Delta is
seen and felt at every point. They balance personal
spaces with communal ones and are connected to
the lodge’s heart – a central hub – via walkways.
Each bedroom features a daybed, which is ideal
for small children or simply lounging about, and
a closable screen that creates a cocoon at night,
adding a layer of privacy and comfort.
Each camp comes with a private vehicle and a host,
who is there to help shape your experience.
Situated a short drive from the heart of the lodge,
Elela’s four-bedroom camp offers a sense that the
Delta, in all its vastness, is entirely yours. With no
designated front or back, but rather a circular design,
it puts your surroundings – and they hold – in full and
constant view.
A kitchenette, dining room, deli, and lounge space
help you make the space your own, while a pool
(heated in winter), fireplace, wine cellar, and various
indoor and outdoor seating pods facilitate ongoing
and deeper connection, regardless of preferences
and weather conditions. There’s ample room in the
camp for wellness treatments and workouts, and
the equipment needed for these is provided. Each
bedroom is the same size and features a closable
screen for privacy. Two of the rooms are enclosed
and connected on one side of the camp, and two
on the other. Movement between connected rooms
is easy, but moving across to other rooms requires
stepping outside.
The camp comes with two private vehicles and a
designated host, who is always available to help
shape your experience.
