Azura Marlin Beach is a serene escape nestled on the shores of Benguerra Island, within Mozambique’s protected Bazaruto Archipelago. Originally opened as Marlin Lodge in 1997, the resort has been reimagined by Azura Boutique Retreats. Elevated walkways through lush vegetation, gently linking villas and main areas while preserving the island’s fragile ecosystem.
Guests are accommodated in 10 designed beachfront villas; 6 Beach Villas, 3 Beach Villa Grandes, and the exclusive Villa Vista. Each villa sits just steps from the shore, boasting panoramic ocean views and generous outdoor decks. The interiors are infused with Mozambican charm: handcrafted furniture, natural textures, and large sliding doors that invite in the sea breeze. Beach Villa Grandes and Villa Vista are elevated with private plunge pools, ideal for secluded dips. Villa Vista, in particular, offers an enhanced sense of privacy and space, making it perfect for couples or small families.
The heart of the lodge is where community and comfort converge. A welcoming reception leads into the lounge, bar, and restaurant, set in an open-plan structure that flows effortlessly to the spacious pool patio overlooking the ocean. Here, guests can relax on sun loungers, sip signature cocktails, or dine al fresco. A dedicated Dive & Fishing Centre caters to ocean lovers, while beach gazebos and shaded decks provide quiet corners for relaxation.

Villa Vista, the largest of the villas, can accommodate up to 4 adults and 4 children.
