Miyala Camp is located within Malawi’s beautiful Liwonde National Park, which lies 115 km from Blantyre in South East Malawi. Miyala sits in the southern end of Liwonde National Park overlooking the Chikalogwe Plain of the Shire River at the base of Chiunguni Hill. Despite Liwonde’s relatively small size at 548 km2, it is one of Malawi’s most famous parks, as it boasts an abundance of wildlife, birds and varied landscapes.

The four modern open-aired tented units are spread out below the main camp area, with swing bridges, rock bases and private decks. Each tent comprises a spacious bedroom and lounge area, en-suite bathroom with double basin, bath and outdoor shower. The four tents (two twin, one king, one family tent) all overlook the Chikalogwe Plain of the Shire River.

The main area is split into two sections with separate lounge and dining with extensive decks overlooking the fire pit and the Chikalogwe Plain beyond.

Morning and evening drives are offered on a daily basis. Liwonde is best explored on foot during a walking safari. For a more relaxed game viewing experience, guests have the option of a boating safari.
