The Kubu Queen is a privately owned houseboat operating on the Okavango River in the Pan-Handle Section of the Okavango Delta.
The Kubu Queen has a rich heritage in the Okavango. Built on the water over 30 years ago she is well-known throughout the delta. Specialist river guide Greg Thompson restored the boat together with his crew and have been operating exclusive river safaris with her ever since.
The Kubu Queen is a double deck riverboat ideally suited to the waterways of the Okavango Delta’s upper reaches.
In order to accommodate larger groups of up to twelve guests we incorporate a small mobile camp. This camp is carried onboard and set up on the various islands where the houseboat moors each night. The camp is made up of spacious dome tents and a dining tent. All other facilities are shared with the houseboat and guests get to enjoy the best of both a houseboat experience and an island camping safari.
Kubu Queen is moored at the small village of Shakawe in North Western Botswana.
Airport transfer time: 10 minutes from Shakawe Airstrip / self drive
