Duke’s East is located on an 89 000-hectare concession in the Okavango Delta. The camp is pitched on an island along the shores of a permanent lagoon, amid the boughs of indigenous leadwood and ebony trees. Duke’s East is a sister camp and smaller version of Duke's Camp ideal for exclusive use.
The camp offers 4 tented suites, 1 double, 2 twins and 1 family unit which has a private plunge pool. The tents have en-suite bathrooms, with indoor and outdoor showers, some with bathtubs. Each tent is built on a raised platform and has a private viewing deck. Handcrafted four-poster beds, persian carpets, rich colours, and brass fittings all add to the vintage charm of the camp.
Duke’s East main tented area, delights guests with old-world glamour, decorated with plush fabrics, oriental rugs, and antique furniture. It includes a comfortable lounge, dining room and a swimming pool and fire pit.
Activities offered includes game drives and birdwatching. Mokoro trips, boat trips and seasonal catch and release fishing are all water level dependent.
At an additional cost, visit the Tsodilo Hills rock art or book a scenic helicopter flight.
