The exclusive Shinde Enclave is a ‘camp within a camp’, offering personal service and an incredible experience. Consisting of three beautiful tents built on raised teak decks, overlooking windswept papyrus beds, the area is home to many aquatic species including the elusive sitatunga.
With a private dining and lounge area including a bar and mini library, it is the perfect retreat after a day’s activities. The outdoor area consists of a fire deck and sun lounger spot. This intimate hideaway also offers guests the services of a private chef, waiter and housekeeper as well as their own professional guide and vehicle.
The Enclave accommodates a maximum of 6 guests in 3 twin bedded tents, each with en-suite bathroom, hot and cold running water and flush toilet (with a view). The spacious tents are within close proximity to the private dining area and viewing deck, affording an exclusive hideaway and perfect location from which a family or small group of friends can explore the Okavango Delta.
Shinde Enclave décor is light and elegant with elements of the Delta, like lily pads and fauna featured in locally produced art work and furniture, but retaining the earthy feeling of a true safari with a touch of leather and brass.
Activities include day and night game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles which offer some of the finest dry land game viewing, guided nature walks, motor boating and mokoro excursions. All water activities are dependent on adequate water levels.

Rebuilt in 2020, retaining the authentic classic safari style, the new tents provide a luxury experience with a touch of historical charm. The décor can be described as having the best of nature within an authentic safari design - still with the understated, friendly and intimate KDB feeling. Each tent comprises of a large bedroom, en-suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor shower. There is the choice of either a double or twin bed configuration on comfortable three-quarter, extra length or king-sized beds.
Every possible comfort has been catered for – from full solar electricity, standing and ceiling fans through to yoga mats and hair dryers!
Families have the choice of being accommodated in a custom build two bedroom shared en-suite bathroom family tent sleeping a maximum of 5 people.
