Lango Baï is home to Lango Lodge, situated in the natural, swampy clearing in the forest with large deposits of minerals - a magnetic attraction for huge flocks of African green pigeons and African grey parrots, as well as for herds of forest buffalo by day and forest elephants by night. The six guest chalets have been strategically placed on the edge of Lango Baï with views out onto the open baï, one of the most arresting views of any camp in Africa.
Remote areas in Africa are under threat and need to be commercially viable in order to be protected and Kamba African Rainforest Experiences is taking an innovative approach to pioneering eco-tourism in the Congo Basin. The aim is to be a conservation actor by providing added value to the Odzala-Kokoua National Park and Nouabalé-Ndoki National Park through the development of tourism, and every visit counts. Today, Kamba African Rainforest Experiences are gaining fast traction with travellers who visit the pristine Congo Basin to experience the dense population of western lowland gorillas, herds of rare forest elephants, shy bongo, and many more species through a 7-night, 10-night, or 11-night Kamba Journey combining Ngaga Lodge, Lango Lodge, and Mboko Lodge.
Lango Lodge features six guest chalets strategically placed on the edge of Lango Baï with views out onto the open baï, providing one of the most arresting views of any camp in Africa. The chalets are constructed from natural materials such as locally woven raffia palm panels and stand on stilts above the ground. Complete with mosquito nets and en-suite bathrooms with hot shower and flush toilet, the chalets boast an elevated 360° wraparound walkway with views of the forest and sprawling baï.
