Konkamoya in the Nianja language means “Follow the wind”. The Lodge is situated on the banks of the Iteshi Teshi lake in Zambia.

Konkamoya Lodge has five comfortable safari tents, slightly raised on wooden platforms which are furnished in a colonial style. Every tent consists of a bedroom, sitting room, a bathroom with hot and cold running water and shower. All tents are east facing and look across the lake with a marvellous view of the renowned African sunrise. Electricity is guaranteed by a solar system.

The main area has two thatched roof structures, which welcome guests for breakfast and communal dinners. Guests can relax under the starlit sky in front of a wood fire at night.

The Iteshi Teshi Lake covers an area of 370 square kilometres, and hosts on its banks huge varieties of ecosystems. During the dry season from May to November the lake guarantees rich pastures and abundant water supplies to many species.

Every morning immediately after sun rise and every evening a couple of hours before sunset, on foot or on one of the camp’s Land Rovers, the camp organise trips of three to four hours in search of animals. In the evening after sundowners, the exploration continues by torch light in search for the many nocturnal animals on offer. All game walks are taken by a qualified guide and armed game scout.
