Royal Tree Lodge is situated on a small game farm, measuring 200 hectares, only twenty minutes from Maun. It is a small lodge ideally situated away from the bustle of town, perfect for the more discerning traveller, on their way to or from the Okavango Delta. 

The lodge consists of ten large meru style tents catering for a maximum of twenty guests. The tents are fan cooled and each has en-suite bathroom facilities including a luxury bathtub. All tents are on decks, built into the surrounding trees and are well spaced for privacy. The lodge also has two family chalets. The main thatched complex consists of a bar, lounge, entrance hall and dining area and offers a large teak deck in the front which provides a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the sounds of the bush. There is a plunge pool to the side of the lodge, surrounded by a teak deck. 
Within the property there are three marked walking trails for guests to explore and view the game and bird life. These are safe and easy to use and vary in length from half an hour to one and a half hours depending on the stamina of the guests. The game consists of ostrich, giraffe, zebra, kudu, duiker, springbok, impala, gemsbok, eland, jackal and several nocturnal species including aardwolf and aardvark. A recent bird count notched up over 120 species.
