Tautona Lodge is situated on a private game farm about 5 kilometers north of Ghanzi, Botswana, near the Trans-Kalahari Highway which links Gaborone and South Africa to Namibia and north to the Western Delta, Maun and the Okavango. Tautona means lion in the local dialect.
The Lodge consists of a total of 28 rooms, including a number of family rooms and a double-storey Presidential Chalet with three bedrooms. Most of the chalets have a mini kitchenette for the convenience of self-catering travellers. Television and telephone facilities are available. Tautona boasts a large restaurant, pool bar, curio shop and conference centre. The Lodge also has camping facilities with good ablutions and set in pleasant surroundings. The two swimming pools are a most welcome retreat in the hotter months
A waterhole nearby is frequented by plains game such as kudu, impala, steenbok and waterbuck in the early evening or morning. This is a real oasis on your journey through the Kalahari. Airport transfers are available on request.
