Kabbo is a San Bushman word which is a loose translation meaning “To dream” or in a sense, a “reflection” of a story - a story like the wind, a story which comes from a far off place. This luxury boat operates in the “Panhandle” area of the Okavango Delta, Northern Botswana. This area is recognized as being amongst the quietest and most peaceful in the Delta, due to its remoteness. Indeed, there are only a handful of permanent camps and boats operating in this wilderness area. The Houseboat is categorized more as a floating Lodge than a Houseboat

Kabbo consists of 2 decks. The lower deck has 8 en-suite cabins with sliding glass doors opening onto the pristine wilderness that is the Okavango Delta. This design offers guests’ unrivalled views of the crystal clear waterways, abundant birdlife and the seas of papyrus. The Upper Deck is approximately three meters above the waterline, where the dining area, bar and open deck are situated. The Upper deck offers views that are simply breathtaking for enjoying sun downers and the privacy and convenience of en-suite cabins allow ample space for guests to have “alone” time.

Kabbo has 2 tender boats which are used for activities. Activities include fishing, bird watching, boating. Visit to Tsodilo Hills are also possible. Tsodilo Hills is a World Heritage Site with possibly the richest concentration of San Rock Paintings in the world. Access to Kabbo is from Maun, either by road transfer to Shakawe (approximately 4 hours) or by light aircraft (approximately 1 hour). Pre-arranged transfers from Livingstone and Kasane via the Caprivi Strip are also available.
