The Chobe Princess Houseboats are situated at the confluence of the Chobe and Zambezi Rivers where four African countries meet: Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The area is characterised by abundant wildlife both within the rivers and on the banks.
The three Chobe Princesses each offer four luxury en-suite double cabins, decorated in tasteful, modern colours and equipped with ample cupboard space and power outlets for all devices. The cabin windows slide open onto a beautiful open view of the water, and guests are protected from mosquitoes by window screens.
Guests have the opportunity to soak up the African sun on the sun deck and are able to spot wildlife whilst enjoying dinner or brunch on board. The vessels boast fully furnished entertainment areas and plunge pool, perfect for relaxation in the midday sun. Guests can relax at the bar whilst watching the African sunset.
Activities involve game viewing (both from the main boat and the smaller tender boats) and guided fishing trips. Fully qualified guides are available to take guests on walks on Impalila Island. The Chobe area is teeming with animals that come down to drink from the river. Guests can expect to see elephant, hippo, crocodile, buffalo, giraffe and numerous antelope from the houseboat.
The earliest collection time from Kasane Immigration is 13h00, (check in time is 14h00). Guests arriving earlier should expect to wait at a hotel near Kasane Immigration after their transfer from the airport until 13h00. Please note that immigration closes at 16:30.
Check out time on all the boats is strictly 09h30 and guests will be back at Kasane Immigration (Chobe River) at 10h00. Guests can expect to wait at a hotel near Kasane Immigration until pick up time for their departure flight.
All Kasane hotels where guests may be dropped before/after their stay on the houseboat have bar and restaurant facilities. Any meals/drinks will need to be settled by the guest directly at their own expense.
Chobe River / Caprivi
This property is located on the Chobe River, but within Namibia’s Caprivi Strip, requiring guests to check into Namibia for the duration of their stay. The Chobe experience here is all about being on the river and watching the wildlife congregate at the riverbanks. Guests wanting to game drive in Chobe National Park will need to re-enter Botswana in order to do this, usually at an extra cost.
Airport Transfer Time: 10 - 15 minutes from Kasane Airport
Transfer Time: You will be collected from Kasane Immigration where you will have a 5 minutes boat ride to Namibian customs on Impalila Island. From here you will then have a 10-20 minute boat ride to the Houseboat.
