Accompanied by polers, who share their local heritage and in-depth knowledge of the Okavango Delta, the Tswii Mokoro Trail is an excursion that gives an insight into this otherwise inaccessible wilderness.
The campsite is made up of 2-man dome tents. Each tent has an outdoor washbasin, shared bush showers and toilets are set up close by.
A private chef accompanies each camping party to prepare all meals. All dinner meals are served around a campfire.
The itinerary includes a mokoro trip through the waterways to a remote island, a bush walk, sundowners by the river and a dinner served around campfire. At an additional cost, the experience can be tailormade with slightly more luxurious facilities such as a private shower and toilet per tent, stretchers and bed linen.
For guests choosing the overnight or multiple night trails, the campsites are operated on an ecologically sensitive basis. The camp is set up before the guests’ arrival on the island. To reduce our ecological footprint amenities are kept to a minimum: guests are accommodated in dome tents. These are made up with roll mat beds, a sleeping bag and a pillow per person. Washbasins are provided outside each tent. Bush showers and toilets are set up close by. We request that guests keep using shampoo and body wash/soap to a minimum while on the trail. Meals are served at a table with chairs or served around a campfire. There is a camping chair per guest to use around the campfire and at the guest’s tent.
