Settled beneath majestic riverine trees, this secluded hideaway promises guests a private and secluded destination where every need is met and every daydream indulged. From the moment that you first see Ichobezi Ichingo River Lodge, you will be struck by the peace and serenity of the area that invites you to simply relax and enjoy the feeling that being based on the river imparts.
Built to blend in with the scenery, the relaxing lounge area, welcoming bar and separate open-air dining room all combine to provide maximum comfort from where to decide on your day’s activities. Ichingo Chobe River Lodge provides an ideal platform to view the abundant wildlife of the Chobe region. Accommodation is in the form of eight tastefully decorated, air-conditioned, meru safari tents, each with its own en-suite bathroom and private balcony. Ichingo has one family tent which comprises of two adjoining tents, one for two sharing adults and the other can accommodate up to four children sharing.
The lodge offers a bar, swimming pool, gift shop, laundry service, and activities include walking, boat cruises, photographic safaris and bird watching.
The earliest collection time from Kasane Immigration is 13h00. Guests arriving earlier should expect to wait at Chobe Marina Lodge after their transfer from the airport until 13h00. Please note that immigration closes at 16:00.
Chobe River / Caprivi
This property is located on the Chobe River, but within Namibia’s Caprivi Strip, requiring guests to check into Namibia for the duration of their stay. The Chobe experience here is all about being on the river and watching the wildlife congregate at the riverbanks. Guests wanting to game drive in Chobe National Park will need to re-enter Botswana in order to do this, usually at an extra cost.
Airport Transfer Time: You will be collected from Kasane Immigration (Chobe River) and taken via Namibian Customs on Impalila Island to Ichingo River Lodge. The transfer will take approximately 30 minutes.

Our large Meru safari tents at Ichingo Chobe River Lodge give you all the excitement of a safari adventure in Africa, coupled with the ultimate in luxurious comfort. Your large air-conditioned safari tent comes complete with a king-size bed, a dressing table, bedside lamps, chairs and an en-suite bathroom – everything you’d expect from a deluxe hotel. At the same time, because you're in a tent you won’t lose that feeling of being in the thick of the African bush, as you listen to the sounds of the Chobe River flowing past you and the call of fish eagles in the distance.
Recent upgrades to our safari tents mean that they’re now all air-conditioned, so you get welcome respite from the African heat which means you can truly relax and unwind. Our bathrooms have all been recently renovated with new floors, vanities, shower heads and taps so you don’t have to miss out on modern luxuries while you're on safari.
There is one family tent available, which is a Standard Tent with an adjoining smaller tent.
Furnished with two bunk beds (four single beds), this tent can be booked together with the adjoining Standard Tent: For peace of mind, your children will be right next to you, while enjoying the adventure of staying in their very own tent.
