Situated between the cattle outpost of Gobabis, at the centre of Namibia's cattle farming area, and the border with Botswana this 4000ha farm is located 85km to the east of Gobabis, bordering the road which links Windhoek to Botswana.
The main lodge is made up of a three-level thatched complex. A warm, enclosed lounge and dining area with a high thatched ceiling make up the ground floor. There is a large boma area with a fireplace in the middle, kitchen and bar facilities. Reflecting the owner's profession of architecture, the lodge has been well and carefully designed with solid wood on a large scale. Above the main lodge are en-suite bedrooms each with double beds. There are also ten camping sites overlooking a waterhole and nestled amongst the indigenous camelthorn trees.
Activities that can be arranged at additional cost include scenic drives, walks or extended game drives. Guests can choose to relax and enjoy a private picnic lunch in the tree-house or spend a night under the night skies in “star beds”. The Kalahari offers visitors the opportunity to see one of the last intact eco systems in Africa - as well as visiting a land where Bushmen once roamed. Add to that the open nature of the terrain, and you have fine wildlife viewing against a backdrop of high scenic drama.
