Kafue River Lodge is a lodge consisting of four beautiful en-suite chalets in the Lunga Luswishi game management area. The lodge is set in 143 hectares of private land bordering Kafue National Park.
Each spacious chalet offers teak decking overlooking the Kafue river, two queen size beds, a fireplace an indoor bathroom with freestanding bath and an outdoor shower. The lodge is run on solar power and each chalet has plugs for charging equipment. There is a waterhole behind the chalets and a hide that the guests can relax in whilst watching the array of birds.
The main lounge area is positioned next to the river with a large teak decking nestled under the trees with lovely views of an island across the channel.
Activities from the camp consist of game drives, walking, boating and cycling. The lodge is able to cover and explore vast areas, including Mushingashi which is up the river and known for its large concentrations of game in the Kafue. Walking safaris typically take place in Lunga Lusiwish, game drives take place in the same area as well as Kafue National Park and Mushingashi conservancy.
