Sekoma Island belongs to a chain of islands in the Mambova Rapids, below which lies the Caprivi Strip where Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana and Namibia meet. Sekoma Island Lodge is located 95km West of Livingstone and 4km North of Kasane at the far eastern point of the Caprivi Strip.
The accommodation at Sekoma Lodge offers both comfort and breathtaking views of the Mambova rapids. Set on wooden decks, Sekoma Lodge’s safari tents sleep either 2 or 4 guests. Each safari tent boasts a full bathroom suite and sleeps two in either single or queen size beds. Our 4 sleepers are ideal for families or groups, which can be arranged as 4 singles or 2 doubles.
The boma area boasts a fully stocked bar and a dining area where guests can enjoy dinner under the stars. The main bar is situated in the main area which extends out overlooking the mighty Zambezi, where you can relax and order refreshments from our friendly Sekoma staff. The swimming pool is set back from the main area and partly enclosed for privacy.
Activities at Sekoma are focused on fishing and the lodge carries a fleet of 12 boats in its fleet. Fishing equipment can be hired and basic tackle are for sale at the lodge. But keen birdwatchers will not be disappointed when guides take them on a tour of the island or on a river cruise.
Full and half day trips to Chobe National Park are offered as an extra activity and can be arranged at the lodge at an additional cost.
