Mutare is the third largest city in Zimbabwe and is the capital of the Manicaland province. It has vast stretches of mountainous terrain enveloped in beautiful thick green bushes. Many Zimbabwean locals refer to it as 'Kumakomoyo' (place of many mountains).
Most visitors to Mutare call the city Zimbabwe's paradise because there are so many majestic and breath taking views of nature, namely the tall green mountains that disappear into the blue sky.
The City of Mutare boasts the nearby Vumba mountains which captivate the visitor with lush botanical gardens and mystical forests, as well as the world class Leopard Rock 18-hole golf course . North of Mutare is Nyanga, a region of mountains, waterfalls, and trout streams. Visitors can walk amidst magnificent scenery, play golf, fish, and enjoy the mountain air.
