Ingwe Pan is situated on one of the largest pans in the wilderness area of Mana Pool National Park. Ingwe pan, along with numerous smaller pans, is situated just off the eastern bank of the Chiruwe River, which disperses into the Zambezi River down river from Mana Mouth. The Pan is an essential waterhole in the park, providing an intermediary drinking spot for the large herds of elephants and buffalos that may walk through each day going to the floodplains.
The camp has 8 tents nestled amongst the trees on the edge of the pan, all with an uninterrupted view. All tents are ensuite with a double vanity and both an indoor and outdoor shower. All rooms are on decks with natural walkways between them and the main area.
A fig tree and an ancient ebony form the canopy of the main lounge and dining area of the camp. The area consists of a spacious tent on the edge of the pan, with two comfortable seating areas and a tea station. Dining is often under the stars with drinks around the fire.
Guests can enjoy game drives in the park as well as walking with an experienced guide when conditions allow.
Airstrip Transfer Time: 20 minutes
Please note that this is a seasonal camp and as such it operates from May to 15 November annually.
