The Lodge at the Ancient City is a unique hotel built around a granite outcrop in the same style as Great Zimbabwe, providing stunning views across the valley of Msasa. The Lodge integrates seamlessly with the surrounding trees and boulders of the site with dry stonewalling and soaring thatch structures.

The Lodge at the Ancient City houses 19 rooms, comprising 15 lodges with superior double beds and 4 family rooms sleeping 4. All lodges are en suite with shower/ bath and provide distinctive accommodation for guests, with furnishings that provoke thoughts of royal dwellings of African legends. All rooms are decorated with a warm and inviting ambiance. The lodge also has a swimming pool, gift shop and an impressive stone & thatch lounge.

The Lodge at the Ancient City can provide historical guides to take guests on detailed trips through the ancient capital of Zimbabwe. Activities available are boat cruises, game drives and walks in and around the nearby Lake Mutirikwi, recreational park and into adjacent tribal areas. Guests can also book trips to see some of the local wild life including white rhinoceros, hippo, crocodile and various antelope and bird species.
