Baines Camp, named after the famed nineteenth century explorer and artist Thomas Baines, is located on the Boro River, in a 260 000 acre private concession in the Okavango Delta that neighbours the Moremi Game Reserve.
Set amongst the shady trees and water of the delta, the small and intimate Baines Camp features just five six luxurious suites set on elevated platforms in the tree line. The elevated suites on wooden decks offer expansive views over the lagoon which teems with life and features a spacious bedroom and elegant bathroom. At Baines Camp you have the unique opportunity to have your four-poster bed rolled out on the deck and sleep under the stars. End your day in tranquillity by soaking in the freestanding bath tub, set on a private open aired terrace.
The main area features an oversized deck for outdoor dining and views over the beautiful lagoon.
The décor is light, colourful and energetic, with bold Botswanan artistic elements. The camp is entirely connected by wooden walkways, encircling large trees and with intimate seating areas on different levels and swimming pool with the boat jetty accessible from the deck.
The area is superb for viewing all animals and bird species. Guests may explore by land in open-sided 4 X 4 vehicles, often into the night to discover nocturnal species as well as enjoying water safaris at the gentle pace of a poled mokoro or by safari motorboats (offered most of the year, subject to water levels). Walking safaris on foot can also be enjoyed with armed guides.

There are six suites elevated above the surrounding wetlands, with large windows and private decks framing expansive views of the Boro River and Okavango Delta. All feature an outdoor bath and shower on the deck, perfect for a dreamy soak between the shimmering waters below and the shimmering stars above.
