Baines’ Lodge is the smallest property in the A&K Sanctuary portfolio – though one that makes an outsized impression. It comprises six suites at the heart of Botswana's UNESCO-listed Okavango Delta, a globally significant wetland habitat that is home to many of Africa’s most iconic species. The lodge is named after the 19th-century explorer and painter Thomas Baines. Its design conjures something of the pioneer spirit, with standalone wooden suites that rise from the swaying papyrus reeds.
There are six suites elevated above the surrounding wetlands, with large windows and private decks framing expansive views of the Boro River and Okavango Delta. All feature an outdoor bath and shower on the deck, perfect for a dreamy soak between the shimmering waters below and the shimmering stars above.
