Mashatu is situated in the northern Tuli Game Reserve, in southeast Botswana. It is a place of exceptional beauty where one can explore 46 000 hectares of rugged, unspoilt African landscape in the comfort of open 4x4 vehicles.
Mashutu Tented Camp is situated just 15 minutes from Mashatu main camp and nestles in a remote part of the reserve. This idyllic getaway provides twin-bedded accommodation in eight large tents. Although rustic in character, every facility is provided. The tents are insect-proof, have comfortable single beds and each has private outdoor en-suite shower and toilet facility. All meals and snacks are prepared with the finest available fresh produce. The cuisine has been described here as "out of this world, the bush veld one."
Activities include wildlife game drives, safari walking, culture, photography, birding, mountain biking, swimming and horse riding. The wildlife experience at Mashatu is personalised. Dedicated, experienced Tswana rangers and trackers are keen to show you their world. Radio-linked four-wheel drive vehicles set out at dawn and again at dusk in search of the diversity of fauna and flora which abound throughout the reserve. Mashatu also offers guests the opportunity to explore on foot, on mountain bikes or on horseback, to more closely experience Africa's flora and fauna. There is a hide overlooking a water hole within walking distance of the camp. Apart from game drives, all other activities are at an additional cost and must be pre – booked.

From Limpopo Valley Airfield is 40 minutes

Eight completely private tents are tucked under the branches of enormous trees, accessible via meandering pathways. The tents themselves are spacious, comfortable and large enough that there’s no need to duck to get around. Each is mounted on a raised platform and has its own private outdoor en-suite facilities, including W.C. and shower. Imagine showering under the stars!

- Follow signboards on the N1 from Johannesburg and Pertoria to Polokwane.
- At Polokwane please follow signs on the R521 past Mogwadi and Vivo to Alldays.
- When you get to Alldays, turn right at the stop street and continue on to Pont Drift Border post.
...
- At the first (and only) traffic circle in Bobonong fork to the right.
- Drive approximately 1km to T-junction - turn right at the T-junction towards Mathatane.
- Drive approximately 0.7 km and turn left to Tuli Farms/Mathatane. The sign board at this junction may not exist but it is the only tar road.
- Drive 50 km, turn left to Mathabaneng (sign posted to Mothabaneng).
- Drive 15 km on a good dirt road, over a short bridge and then across a long bridge across the Motloutse River.
- Once aross the Motlouse River bridge drive through the village of Mothabaneng - on the main dirt road.
- Stay on the main dirt road. A couple of km outside of the village, at a fork in the road, you will start seeing yellow "Mashatu" signboards.
- Fork to the right and follow these signs for 8 km to a gate in the veterinary fence.
- Drive through the gate and continue for 12 km on the main dirt road to crossroads. Turn left at crossroads following the signs to Mashatu.
- Drive 2 km to T-junction to another veterinary fence - go through the gate.
- Drive 12 km to T-junction, turn left (sign posted to Limpopo Valley Airfield).
- Drive 2.5 km to the Limpopo Valley Airlfield where your Mashatu guide will meet you.

- Drive from Maun/Nata/Kasane to Francistown to Selebi Phikwe or from Serule to Selebi Phikwe or any other combo but must get to Selebi Phikwe
- Drive through the middle of Selebi Phikwe on Tshekedi Road past the main shopping mall-the road curves to the left becoming Boipuso South Rd
- Turn first right into Khama Road and drive past the entrance to Bosele Hotel.
- At the traffic lights turn right into Independence Road.
- Continue for approximately 2 km on Independence Road until you get to the back of the Syringa Hotel on your left hand side.
- Take the next left and drive past the entrance to the Syringa Hotel on your left hand side.
- Continue for approximately 20 km on this road to the turnoff to Bobonong (sign posted)
- Drive 53 km to Bobonong
- Drive ito Bobonong. At the first (and only) traffic circle fork to the right.
- Drive approximately 1 km to the end of the road (T-junction). At the T-junction turn right (sign posted to Mthatane).
- Drive approximately 0.7 km and turn left to Tuli Farms. It is the only tar road going off to the left before the road ends at the Kgotla.
- Drive 50 km to left turn to Mothabaneng (sign posted to Mothabaneng).
- Drive 15 km on good dirt road over a short bridge and then across a long bridge across the Motloutse River.
- Once across the bridge drive through the village of Mothabaneng - on main dirt road.
- Stay on dirt road. A couple of kms outside the village at a fork in the road you will start to seeing small yellow Mashatu signboards.
- Fork to the right and follow these signs for 8 km to a gate in veterinary fence.
- Drive through the gate and continue for 12 km on main dirt road to crossroads.
- Turn left at crossroads.
- Drive 2 km to another veterinary fence - go through gate.
- Drive 12 km to T-junction and turn left (sign posted to Limpopo Valley Airfield).
- Drive 2.5 km to the Limpopo Valley Airfield where your Mashatu guide will meet you.
