andBeyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp is situated in the Kichwa Tembo private concession, which neighbours the Masai Mara National Reserve. In addition to the excellent year-round concentration of wildlife, Kichwa Tembo lies directly in the path of Africa’s spectacular Great Migration. The camp boasts 12 classic tents, 20 superior tents and 8 superior view tents. While all the tents look out onto the open grasslands or the shady forest surrounding the Saparingo River, the superior view tents boast exceptionally beautiful, uninterrupted views of the Masai Mara.The generously sized swimming pool is set among the trees and surrounded by lush lawns and spectacular views. Opening up onto incredible Masai Mara views, the guest areas feature a double-story bar and lounge area with oversized windows offering spectacular panoramas. The dining area surrounds an interactive kitchen and vegetable garden, making food an integral part of the safari experience.

Nestled within the verdant forest near the Saparingo River, Kichwa’s Classic Tents truly reflect the spirit of explorers of old. Big comfortable beds adorn the space while wooden furniture blends seamlessly with the classic, safari-style interiors. These tents share the same guest areas as the Superior Tents, with a double-story bar and lounge area featuring expansive windows to celebrate the romance and nostalgia of the Mara.
AMIDST THE TREES
The Superior Tents feature beautiful Maasai inspired interiors that showcase a simple and contemporary use of local materials. Oversized, comfortable beds and stained cypress wooden furniture combine with decorative tribal elements, making for a welcoming and authentic display of the culture. These tents are ideally situated in the cool shade of the forest, excellent for bird lovers, and don’t have views of the Mara.

&Beyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp has three Superior Family Tents comprises two interconnected tents with an ensuite bathroom and private veranda. Each Superior Family Tent can accommodate two adults and two children (three at special request) and are ideal for families looking to spend time together experiencing the African bush in unimaginable ways.
