Kunene River Lodge has been described as "A Piece of Paradise", situated on the bank of the mighty perennial river, overlooking Angola to the north. A magnificent tree canopy shades the Lodge gardens, grounds and campsites, while the swimming pool beckons from a sunny green lawn.
Here peace and tranquility abound as Guests relax and slow down to the gentle pace of the river, but in the nearby Ondorusu Gorge, anyone can experience the thrill of White-Water Rafting in some of the finest river conditions of southern Africa. Meanwhile, birders will seek out some of the rare endemic species living in and around the Lodge or further afield.
Other activities include Sundowner or Birding River Cruises and visits to a local Himba village where Guests can discover the customs and history of these ancient people who still maintain their centuries-old traditions and life-style.
