Sausage Tree camp is located on the banks of the Zambezi River, in the heart of the Lower Zambezi National Park, Zambia.
Accommodation consists of six luxurious white Bedouin style tents, discreetly positioned along the riverbank. Local materials are utilised to create a minimalist style in which the reddish brown teak furniture and sumptuous four-poster beds contrast with pure white fabrics and flowing mosquito nets. Nearly hidden from one another and shaded by mature Sausage and Mahogany trees, the tents offer a cool, private sanctuary after an early morning game drive and for a good night’s rest. Each tent has a private open-air en-suite bathroom, which has become a distinct trademark for this world-renowned camp. The camp offers a truly personalised safari experience with each tent offering its own personal Muchinda (butler) to attend to your every whim. The camp is unfenced, allowing elephant and other game to walk through camp so guests can enjoy game experiences from the comfort of their tents.
Sausage Tree Camp offers a large range of game-viewing activities which include: game drives (both day and night), walking safaris, canoeing, boating and fishing for the world-renowned "Tiger fish". Fly-fishing, bait and spinning are the three most successful methods of fishing practiced. With personalised guiding, guests decide exactly what activity they would like to take and when.
Sausage Tree Camp offers some of the finest game viewing in natural habitats and the Lower Zambezi National Park is in a prime position to fulfil visitor needs as it offers such a variety of environments to explore.
