Arathusa Safari Lodge is located within the northern sector of the coveted Sabi Sand Reserve, adjacent to the Kruger National Park with free wildlife movement between. This region has been established as a protected wildlife are for many years and offers incredible concentrations of wildlife in a more exclusive environment than the main Kruger National Park.
Arathusa Lodge accommodates guests in 9 standard and 4 luxury suites, each with an ensuite bathroom featuring a bath and indoor/outdoor shower. The standard rooms have private verandahs offering views across the lake. The luxury rooms have a private plunge pool and are situated further from the main area offering more privacy but without looking across the water. Each room has a mini bar, in room safe, air conditioning and tea/coffee facilities, there are no televisions or telephones in the rooms keeping with the bush theme, however, reception does have telephone/fax/email facilities.
The main lodge area is open plan and takes advantage of the lake front setting. The dining and bar area is enclosed yet opens to a deck and boma area where guests can enjoy the natural environment. There is a swimming pool overlooking the waterhole, offering a perfect spot for wildlife viewing on a smoldering African summer’s afternoon. The lodge also has a wellness centre offering spa treatments (additional cost).
Arathusa offers game drives and guided walks in the Sabi area. The lodge prides itself on its’ leopard viewing due to their regular appearances in the area and the guides have had the opportunity to track their movements and observe their behaviour affording an amazing relationship. There are various lion prides in the area, large herds of buffalo, elephant herds and even rhino, making it possible to see the ‘Big 5’ year round. General wildlife in the area includes giraffe, zebra, warthog and impala as well as a great variety of birdlife.

There are twelve Suites available - 8 Suites are centrally located and offer views across the waterhole whilst 4 Suites have a more private bush setting and include their own plunge pools.
• Each Suite is uniquely designed, with fresh interiors and a focus on light and space.
• Each of the four remote Suites also has its own plunge pool, and affords guests the ultimate privacy
• Each suite has a bathroom en-suite, with shower, as well as a private outdoor shower and verandah.
