Little Kulala is situated in the private 37 000-hectare Kulala Wilderness Reserve.
Little Kulala consists of 11 climate-controlled, thatched "kulalas" (the word means 'to sleep'). Each kulala has a private plunge pool, and both indoor and outdoor showers. Guests can sleep under the stars on their private rooftop ‘skybed’.
The main area includes a library, wine cellar, craft boutique, lounge and dining areas. Little Kulala’s interiors make use of neutral colours, gorgeous textures and natural light and takes its inspiration from its surroundings, notably from the magnificent Dead Vlei.
The lodge has its own private entry gate to the spectacular dunes of Sossusvlei. Guests can visit the red sand sea of Sossusvlei and climb Big Daddy Dune, rising 300m above the valley floor. Walking tours and the sundowner tour are very popular activities at Little Kulala.
Hot air ballooning over the dunes (at an additional cost) and quad biking trips into the Kulala Wilderness Reserve can be booked at the lodge or in advance.

Inspired by Dead Vlei, the design of the 10 luxury desert suites has been cleverly expanded to offer improved airflow, and the use of brick and glass, and a thatch roof, further enhances temperature control. The interior décor echoes the natural beauty of the surrounding desert, replicated in the colour palette and featured art.
Each room has a spacious deck, sala and private plunge pool, designed to merge into the timeless desert setting. A private rooftop area for romantic stargazing, and sleep-outs on the bottom deck of each room, complete the experience.
Little Kulala has one spacious and comfortable family unit consisting of two bedrooms, each with two three-quarter beds, and own en-suite facilities. Each large climate-controlled suite has a rooftop, which can be used for starlit dinners or star gazing, and the spacious sala below has a private plunge pool, and an area for outdoor siestas during the day, or sleep-outs under the stars.
