The mornings are also very special, with the animals heading to the water for a morning drink. Birding is excellent along the river with frequent sightngs of African darters, fish eagles, kingfishers and other waders and water birds.

Game drives in the Lapalala Wilderness
Our professional guides are trained to take guests on various guided activities. Before departure on a game drive or bush walk, your guide will present an orientation on safety, as well as the area and game you could expect to see. Daily game drives take place in an open 4x4 Land Cruiser, which depart from the lodge early in the morning and again late in the afternoon, typically ending in the evening with unobstructed views of the starry skies above Lapalala Wilderness Reserve.

The Family Luxury Tents can accommodate a family consisting of two adults and two children. The tent has a main bedroom with a king bed, as well as a small adjoining room at the back of the tent with two single beds.
It has a large private verandah and its own private plunge pool and has direct access to the main lodge via the raised wooden walkways.
