Ngepi Camp is situated in the unspoiled upper reaches of the Okavango delta panhandle in the western Caprivi strip, Kavango region, Namibia.
This rustic camp is set on an island under amazing trees with permanent river frontage and surrounded by seasonally flooded swamps.
The Tree houses’, double or twin en suite, are situated on the riverbank. Some are high and some are more suited for the elderly. The en suite Bush huts are perfect for families, each with a double bed and 2 singles in separate rooms. Barbeque facilities are available if required. There are also campsites available.
The Main area has a bar, restaurant, dining area and curio shops. Guests can cool off in the unique 'floating swimming pool' in the river.
Activities offered at Ngepi include mokoro excursions, guided bird and village walks. Fishing boats & guide for hire (catch and release only). Guided game drives in the National parks, sunset cruises, river rafting and environmental projects. (All activities at an additional cost)
Ngepi is renowned for birding, with over 500 species of birds.
Airstrip Transfer: Shakawe Airstrip OR self drive: On the B8 road at Divundu (on the western side of the Okavango river at the bridge), turn south on Mohembo Border Post road (towards Botswana) for 10km. Turn left at Ngepi sign for further 4 km on 2WD road

Most of our Tree Houses overlook the Kavango River, each of them, a unique experience. They are built around a tree, on a wooden deck with a thatched roof. They have reed walls at the back and roll up blinds in front, giving them a
natural feel. What better place to wake up with the Sunrise between your toes?
Each Tree House has an en-suite bathroom, sporting an interesting ‘al fresco’ shower. They are equipped with a comfotable matress, feather pillows and linen,
towels and mosquito nets. Most of our Tree Houses have a braai area, but are not equipped for self-catering. There is
a choice between a Twin, Double, Triple or Family Tree House.
The Bush Huts are rustic, thatched huts consisting of two half-walled rooms, one double and one twin, and an open air
bathroom at the rear. They are equipped with mosquito nets, linen and towels. Although they do not have a view of
the river, each one has a lovely private garden with a braai area. The Bush Huts are not equipped for self-catering.
Most of our campsites are along the river’s edge, with a grassed camping area and an adjacent parking space for
vehicles, trailers and caravans. Each site has its own 220v AC solar powered electricity point, river water tap and
fireplace/braai area. Our Bush campsites are a bit more secluded, with lovely big trees for shade, but they have no
river view.
