Night Game Drive
Load into our open-sided Toyota Land Cruiser with warm blankets and head out in the dark of night under starlit skies. The experience of a game drive at night is very different from one during the day and you may see striped hyena on the prowl or lions on hunt. Your Maasai guide will be in his tracker’s chair mounted on the vehicle front with his floodlight sweeping for reflective eyes of predators. One never knows what will be lurking in the dark, but it is guaranteed to be electrifying and totally unlike your daytime game drives.

TAASA Lodge is situated approximately 5 kilometers (3 miles) from Kleins Gate, to the North East of the Serengeti National Park. It offers a unique combination of luxurious accommodation, extraordinary wildlife, the exhilarating freedom to participate in guided game & nature walks, the rare opportunity to go on night game drives as well as to drive off-road and a fascinating insight into the culture of the local Maasai tribesmen and women.
The camp consists of 12 split-level accommodation tents. Each tent measures 50 square metres (or 500 square feet) and provides for a verandah, comfortable lounge area, bedroom area and fully serviced bathroom.
The thoughtfully designed and tastefully decorated main building is located at the top of the property and offers truly stunning views into the Serengeti National Park. It consists of three interior areas; the dining room, the main lounge with an indoor fireplace and a lounge bar. In addition, there are two outdoor patios with a large fire bowl and lounge chairs for reading and relaxing. The main lodge also has an 'infinity swimming pool.
You’ll feel right at home between game drives in one of our luxurious and spacious en-suite tents. Expertly appointed, each one seamlessly blends modern comforts with uniquely African accents.
Enjoy stunning views of the Lobo Valley from the serenity of your private verandah or curl up with a good book in your own cozy sitting area, beautifully furnished with a large sectional couch and desk. A raised sleeping area features either a king or twin sized beds. En-suite bathroom is complete with a stone shower, double vanity, and hair dryer, along with sumptuous robes and towels – a touch of indulgence in the bush.
Each tent measures 50 square metres (or 500 square feet) and features a large sectional couch which can convert into a double bed.
2 family link tents are available, which each consists of 2 tented suites connected by an enclosed walkway.
