Casa Rex overlooks the southern-central section of Vilanculos bay and the world heritage site of Bazaruto Archipelago. The lodge is situated in lush garden with sweeping views of the sparkling ocean and islands of the Bazaruto Archipelago.
Accommodation is charming, decorated in individual style with an emphasis on custom-crafted wooden furniture and fittings in the lounge and dining areas. There are 15 en suite rooms all offering a striking view of the bay. For extra comfort, mosquito nets are hung and windows are fitted with shutters against the occasional rain shower and all rooms are air conditioned.
Casa Rex has an excellent à la carte restaurant which is open for both lunch and dinner. Cuisine is a combination of international and Mozambican dishes, with delicious seafood specialities like crab curry.
A swimming pool offers guests a place to cool down & relax whilst enjoying the impressive view.
Casa Rex provides free transport to and from activities within Vilanculos. There are many activities on offer including scuba diving, dhow trips, snorkeling, deep sea fishing, catamaran trips, sunset cruises and full-day trips to the Bazaruto Islands with a barbecue lunch on the beach, which can be arranged at an additional cost at the lodge
