The lodge is situated on the banks of a beautiful lagoon bordered by palm trees, papyrus and reed beds with a spectacular and exclusive view over one of the largest lagoons in the northwest of the Okavango Delta. Nguma Island Lodge offers a very relaxed family atmosphere with fishing, mokoro and bird watching activities.

The lodge offers accommodation in eight raised comfortable meru en-suite tents. Meals are enjoyed in the shared dining area with an intimate lounge and pub. Nguma Island Lodge is accessible by tar road to within 12km of the Lodge. The last 12km are accessible by four-wheel drive only. A safe lock-up for saloon cars is available on request with a four-wheel drive transfer to the lodge.

Activities available at Nguma Lodge are mokoro excursions, sun downer cruises and island walks. The main activity however is fishing - a 50-minute boat drive brings you to the main Okavango River in the panhandle where tiger fish abound and the many inlets offer good bream fishing. All activities are at an additional cost.
