“The Old Bridge" Backpackers is 10 kms out of Maun and is set in a riverine forest on the banks of the Thamalakane river. It is "the gateway to the Okavango" and overlooks a hippo pool. This is a place created with the knowledge and understanding that comes from years of experience in the backpackers trade.
Accommodation consists of an 8 bed dorm, both en-suite and bed only tents right on the edge of the river, with a great view out over the old bridge. There is also a campsite for travellers with their own tents. The Old Bridge has shared ablutions with hot water, flush toilets, a bar and fully functional kitchen which is also available for use for those who choose to self cater.
"The Bridge" provides a comfortable base from which guests can enjoy the varied amazing activities that the region has to offer. They offer mokoro trips, boat cruises and mobile safaris to all the Wildlife Parks in the area.
