Situated on the island of Xaxaba, overlooking a lagoon fed by the tranquil waterways of the delta and surrounded by llala Palms, is the paradise called Eagle Island Lodge. The Xaxaba area is one of the Delta's most pristine natural locations, a region of myriad waterways, palm-tree covered islands and vast flood plains.
Eagle Island Lodge has twelve luxury tents housed on raised wooden platforms, offering great views. The large private decks are furnished with easy chairs and a private plunge pool, ideal for viewing wildlife or for enjoying a private dinner in complete privacy. The tent interiors have an en-suite bathroom and outdoor shower, oversized beds complete with mosquito netting as well as discreet air conditioning.
The main complex has an open-air, under-cover, dining and lounge area and a welcoming bar with superb views over the delta waters. A laundry service, a library with books and videos that cater for special interests and a swimming pool are available for guests to relax and enjoy the magnificent delta. Spa treatments are available at an additional cost.
Bird and game viewing activities at the lodge are undertaken in mokoro (traditional dugout canoes) when water levels permit, thus combining the excitement of game viewing with water activities. Day and night game drives, walking safaris and cultural village visits are also offered.
A unique opportunity at Eagle Island Lodge is the 35-minute scenic helicopter flight over the magnificent game-rich Okavango Delta (extra cost).

Each of the lodge's 12 rooms are 82 square meters in size and boasts its own plunge pool and outdoor deck. Offering contemporary luxury, every detail has been carefully thought-out.
The centerpiece is an over-sized bed with views onto the Delta. Each room features a luxurious bathroom with a large bathtub, double vanity unit and a walk-in wardrobe, as well as a walled outdoor shower with a window looking onto the Delta.
