The main lodge at Kichaka is constructed of stone and thatch which blends seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. The lodge overlooks a large water hole popular with hippo, giraffe, elephant and countless other game that circulate through to quench their thirst.

Blending seamlessly into the surrounding landscape, Kichaka Lodge is a five-star destination, constructed of natural stone and thatch. The lodge was extensively rebuilt and furnished in 2020. Kichaka’s decor is a modern take on traditional safari and colonial elegance creating an ambience of timelessness and comfort.

A sociable cocktail bar and sitting area open up onto the viewing deck allowing for ample opportunity to enjoy the views. A lavish, stately dining room and outdoor dining facility provide choices for meal settings. Fireside dinners are held in the comfort of an atmospheric boma, weather permitting. The upstairs library area is private, providing comfortable seating to indulge in with various cosy corners to curl into with a book.

A rim-flow swimming pool set on the edge of the main deck merges with a generous waterhole. The well-designed spa, set above the waterhole, boasts floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows of the bountiful game frequenting the water source. The sufficiently equipped gym yields ample space for those who wish to exercise and work out.

The 10 suites are decorated in the same luxurious style as the main lodge. The finest fittings in the bathrooms are an indulgence, featuring enormous baths, spacious showers and his and her basins. Each suite boasts a private deck with a heated plunge pool and an outside shower. The suites have been perfectly positioned to ensure and maximise the sense of being completely enveloped in the bush.
