Ekorian’s Mugie Camp offers the freedom to rekindle the soulful relationship we each have with the wild.

Experiences here span beyond just a safari. Ekorian greets you with a warm, genuine welcome to this exquisite slice of the natural world. It brings to life the vision that Josh and Donna had when they built the camp: a retreat from the fast-paced hustle and bustle of the 'real world', and a reconnection with nature.

To bring you an organic, authentic safari, Ekorian fuses luxury with sustainability, and comfort with responsibility.

The camp’s innovative design is eco-friendly and blends into its environment, enabling you to feel immersed in the vivid details that surround you - the sights, the sounds, the smells.

Rooms

Regular Tents (4 rooms)

Ekorian's Mugie Camp feels like a tent away from home, and caters to the whole family.

There are 6 tents, 4 regular tents- each can be configured in to a twin or double arrangement and 2 family tents.

Each tent is raised on wooden decks and is en-suite with hot running water and flush toilets.

Laundry is done daily - all laundry is hand washed and dried in the sun

The camp is eco-conscious (and 'silver' eco rated by the Kenya eco-tourism board) and uses solar power (no hair dryers or electric razors).
Every effort is made to minimize the use of plastic products. Drinking water is supplied in recycled wine bottles in the tents and reusable water bottles on the game drives. We use recycled glass bottles for drinking glasses made by a local artisan. The soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion that we supply are eco-friendly and free of chemicals.

Various activities in camp keep everyone occupied during down-time, such as volleyball, bird watching, traditional archery, spear throwing, and lawn games, as well as our trampoline and fresh water, chemical-free swimming pool.

Family tent 1 (1 room)

There are 2 family tents.

Tent 1 is closest to the mess tent so it works well for a family with smaller children.
The kids annex on the side has a 3 way bunk bed which the kids love. This tent sleeps a family of 5 with smaller children.

There is one bathroom in the tent.

Family Tent 6 (1 room)

Tent 6 is the furthest tent from the Mess.

This tent accommodates 4 people. Its good for a family of 4 or older children sleeping together.
There is one bathroom in the tent.
