Why stay here?

KAMBAKU Safari Lodge is situated in the heart of the renowned Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, which becomes part of the vast unspoilt natural wilderness area of the Greater Kruger National park. It is home not only to the Big 5 but also to the famous White Lions which cannot be seen anywhere else in the wild.

Kambaku Safari Lodge is an owner-run lodge providing a unique personal service where visitors can relax completely in the breathing space that only the bush can offer.

Owners Bryce and Nicola invite you to visit KAMBAKU and share their passion and love for wildlife and conservation in an idyllic, affordable and unforgettable setting.

The eight thatched chalets at Kambaku accommodate just sixteen guests. The flexibility of the rooms makes the lodge ideal for hosting small family gatherings, intimate wedding parties and friends.

The chalets and Main lodge all overlook a private waterhole where constant wildlife activity can be observed and enjoyed either from the privacy of your chalet or from the main lodge area.

Bryce has added his experience and a special flair for wilderness cooking to the scrumptious bush cuisine offered by KAMBAKU and delicious meals in the relaxed and rustic setting of the lodge become memorable occasions where good food is enhanced by good company.

Environmental consciousness has high priority at KAMBAKU since it lies in a pristine environment surrounded by abundant game, the use of solar power and gas, with only minimal electricity aims at minimizing the environmental footprint created by the lodge.
