Villa Lobengula at  Shamwari Game Reserve is a beautiful & tranquil space tucked away in the depths of the valley bushveld. It is a place where your soul can rejuvenate & rest in supreme peace & comfort whilst the vibration of authentic Africa dances through your being.

The Villa mirrors a traditional African “kraal” which is enclosed by breath-taking views. The sanctuary encompasses a range of holistic therapies to enchant & stimulate the senses. Wildlife activities vary from guided game drives, guided game walks, camping under the stars, picnics, sundowners with scenic views & informal wildlife presentations.

We endeavour to provide our guests with home grown fresh & organic produce. Our mission is to support our local communities & farmers to ensure sustainable development between Lobengula & the community arises.

The Villa has focused on utilising suppliers & guest amenities who uphold green initiatives & who practice responsible & conscious living. The Villa also supports community development programs where possible. Certain decor items in the Villa have been locally made by ladies from the nearby village & going forward to initiate projects whereby these folk can be incorporated.

The sanctuary at the Villa encompasses aspects of Zen. Traditional spa treatments have been spared & authentic Thai massage & reflexology take preference. Yoga therapy is also an option.

Shamwari, meaning “my friend” in Shona, is the pinnacle of private game reserves and home to the coveted Big 5. Stretching 25,000 hectares over a malaria free landscape, it offers an award-winning nature experience and is one of the largest private conservation initiatives in Southern Africa.
